A Cleaning Calendar Built Around Your Services
A church building runs on a weekly rhythm, not office hours. The walkthrough maps your rhythm, and the proposal sets the visits around it. These are the slots Scottsdale churches most often book.
| When | What It Covers | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| Friday or Saturday | Sanctuary, lobby, restrooms, nursery and classrooms before weekend services | The building is ready when the first family walks in. |
| Sunday afternoon or Monday | Reset after services: trash, restrooms, fellowship hall, coffee areas and children's rooms | Spills and crumbs are gone before weekday staff return. |
| Midweek | Rooms used for Bible studies, youth nights, recovery meetings or a weekday preschool | Cleaning lands between gatherings, never during one. |
| Weddings and memorials | A separate visit before or after the event, added once you send the date | Event days don't shift your regular schedule. |
| Christmas and Easter | Extra or moved visits around your holiday service schedule | A regular visit that lands on a holiday moves 24 to 48 hours before or after it. |
Sanctuary, Lobby and Fellowship Hall
Most of the work is in the rooms every visitor uses. Hymnals, Bibles and prayer books stay in their racks, and nothing on the platform moves unless you ask.
- Sanctuary or worship center: pews or chairs dusted, bulletins and debris cleared, aisles and floors cleaned
- Lobby or narthex: entry glass, welcome counters, door handles and floors
- Fellowship hall: tables, chairs, floors, kitchenette counters, sinks and appliance exteriors
- Church offices and meeting rooms you approve
- Restrooms cleaned, with restocking if the proposal includes it
- Trash and recycling from every agreed room
Nursery and Children's Ministry Rooms
Nurseries and classrooms take the most hands-on contact in the building. Cleaners wipe the touchpoints there, such as door handles, light switches, tabletops, sink handles and changing-table surfaces, with an EPA-registered disinfectant, and only when no class is in session.
Toys, cribs and nap mats are cleaned only when the proposal lists them. Your children's ministry lead decides which items we handle and which stay with volunteers.
Desert Dust At Scottsdale Church Entries
Arizona's monsoon season runs June 15 through September 30 by the National Weather Service definition, and its storms can push fine dust through every door that opens onto a courtyard or parking lot. Scottsdale campuses with patios, breezeways and several buildings feel it at the lobby glass, the first few yards of carpet and the window sills.
At the walkthrough, decide whether entry glass, sills and the floor inside each entry get extra attention in monsoon months, and whether that is part of every visit or a separate request after a storm.

One Campus or Several Buildings
Scottsdale congregations meet all over the city, from McDonald Drive (85250) to campuses along Shea Boulevard (85259, 85260) and up Scottsdale Road and Pinnacle Peak Road (85255, 85266). A larger site may have a worship center, a separate children's building, offices and a fellowship hall, and may share rooms with a preschool or other groups during the week.
Walk each building with us once. The proposal lists the rooms and visit days for every building, so your facilities lead can see in one place what is cleaned, when and by whom. Rooms used by a separate preschool or school are listed only if that group's lead approves them.
What Stays Untouched
Some items are never ours to handle. Mark them at the walkthrough: altars and communion ware, religious texts and scrolls, vestments, artwork, candles, instruments, the sound and livestream booth, and any rugs with special care instructions. That list goes into the proposal, and cleaners work around it on every visit.
Volunteers and Professional Cleaning
Many churches keep some tasks with volunteers, such as resetting chairs, washing communion ware or tidying classrooms after Sunday school. Tell us which rooms and tasks stay with your volunteers. The proposal lists only the work we do, so nothing is cleaned twice and nothing falls between the two.
Walkthrough, Proposal and Start Date
We typically complete your walkthrough within 24 to 48 hours, send the proposal within 24 hours of it, and have background-checked cleaners starting in 5 to 7 business days, sooner when a slot opens. Walkthroughs are set on a weekday so they never interrupt a service. Our team brings 17+ years of professional cleaning experience to every walkthrough.

Questions Before You Book
Do You Clean Churches in Scottsdale?
Yes. Greater Phoenix Cleaning cleans churches across Scottsdale, from Old Town (85251) to North Scottsdale (85255, 85266), including sanctuaries, lobbies, fellowship halls, classrooms, nurseries, offices and restrooms. The walkthrough sets the exact room list.
How Much Does Church Cleaning Cost in Scottsdale?
Every church cleaning quote is custom. After a free walkthrough, we build it from your scope of work, cleaning frequency, square footage and any custom requests, and you receive one flat-fee quote with all cleaning supplies included. Event visits for weddings, memorials and holiday services are quoted separately. Call or text (623) 400-8372.
When Do You Clean, Before or After Weekend Services?
Either, or both. Most churches book a visit on Friday or Saturday so the building is ready for weekend services. Churches with several services, a staffed nursery or busy fellowship meals often add a reset on Sunday afternoon or Monday.
How Do You Clean the Nursery and Children's Rooms?
Cleaners wipe door handles, light switches, tabletops, sink handles and changing-table surfaces with an EPA-registered disinfectant when no class is in session. Toys, cribs and nap mats are cleaned only when the proposal lists them.
Can You Clean Around Midweek Programs and a Weekday Preschool?
Yes. Send us the weekly program calendar at the walkthrough. Visits are set between gatherings, and rooms used by a separate preschool are cleaned only if its lead approves them in the proposal.
Do You Clean Before and After Weddings and Memorials?
Yes, as separate visits added once you send the date. They don't change your regular schedule.
What About Christmas and Easter?
Send your holiday service schedule early. We can add visits around it, and a regular visit that lands on a holiday moves 24 to 48 hours before or after it.
Will Cleaners Touch the Altar, Instruments or Sound Booth?
No. Altars, communion ware, instruments and the sound and livestream booth stay untouched unless you list them in the proposal.
Is a Certificate of Insurance Available for Our Church?
Yes. Greater Phoenix Cleaning carries general liability coverage up to $2 million, and a certificate of insurance is available on request for your board, diocese or property insurer.
What Happens When a Task Is Missed?
If anything is missed, we're back on site within 24 hours to fix it at no charge.
