The words maid and housekeeper can describe different kinds of help. Compare the tasks you need, not just the job title:
- Scheduled room cleaning: compare our checklist with the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and living-area work you want done.
- Laundry, dishes, or extra household tasks: list each request separately and ask what can be included in your quote. Changing customer-supplied clean sheets is different from washing those sheets.
- Daily or broader household help: describe the duties and timing you need before assuming a recurring cleaning visit covers them.

How Should I Handle Dust and Grit Between Visits?
Start with the surface, not a stronger cleaner. For natural stone floors, use a clean, untreated dry dust mop to pick up loose grit; grit can scratch stone. Entry mats can help keep it from being tracked farther inside. Follow the care instructions for your actual floor and finish. Natural Stone Institute care guidance.
For natural stone that needs washing, use a stone-specific neutral cleaner according to its label and the stone supplier's instructions. Avoid vinegar on marble and limestone: acid can etch the surface. This advice does not mean the same product or moisture level suits wood, laminate, or every sealer. Dust coming back does not, by itself, mean you need duct cleaning. The EPA recommends duct cleaning only as needed, rather than as a routine service. - Tell us when you’ll be away. Tell our team when you leave and return, and which appointments you want to discuss. Confirm any schedule changes directly rather than assuming visits will pause automatically.
- Describe the home as it is now. Mention dust, bathrooms, kitchen use and any rooms or casita that need attention. Ask for the first visit and later visits to be quoted separately if their scopes differ.
