Teardowns, Rebuilds and Remodels in Arcadia
Arcadia was citrus groves until the mid-1950s, when it filled in with ranch homes on large lots. Many of those lots still have orange, lemon and grapefruit trees. For years now, owners have been tearing down mid-century ranches and building larger homes, often two stories, because the land is worth more than the house.
That leaves two kinds of Arcadia projects: brand-new homes on old lots, and mid-century ranches being opened up, added onto and refinished while someone lives in them. We clean both, and the plan for each is different.

New Build or Lived-in Remodel: How the Clean Differs
Tell us which one you have. It changes when we come, what we clean and who we coordinate with.
| What differs | Teardown rebuild or new build | Remodel you are living in |
|---|---|---|
| When we come | Rough clean during the build, final clean when the builder releases the house, touch-up before move-in | After each dust-making stage, then a final clean when the trades finish |
| What we clean | Every room, closet, cabinet and window track in an empty house | The work zone plus every lived-in room the dust reached |
| Main dust problem | Drywall and sanding dust on every new surface | Dust carried into bedrooms and living areas by foot traffic and the air system |
| Who we coordinate with | Your builder or superintendent | You and your contractor |
| What to tell us | The release date and the move-in date | Which rooms are lived in, pets, and which rooms the trades still need |
Rough, Final and Touch-Up Cleans for Arcadia Homes
Book only the phases your project needs. Each phase ends with a final walkthrough, and it is billed only after you sign off on it.
- Rough clean during the work: loose debris and packaging gathered, floors swept and reachable surfaces dusted so the trades can keep working, and the lived-in rooms reset if the dust got into them.
- Final clean, the heavy, detailed clean, when the trades finish: fine dust from ceilings and high surfaces down; cabinets, drawers, closets, fixtures, glass and tracks detailed; labels and light residue removed where the finish allows; floors detailed room by room.
- Touch-up clean before move-in or the final walkthrough, for dust and marks left by returning trades, landscaping or a pool crew.
Living Through a Remodel
If you are living in the house, dust goes where you go. It rides on shoes and the air system into bedrooms, closets and the kitchen you are still cooking in.
Tell us which rooms are lived in, which rooms the trades still need, and whether pets or kids are home. We clean the lived-in rooms first so the house is usable, then the work zone. HEPA vacuuming is standard on our post-construction jobs, and we take before-and-after photos of every room we clean.
Yard, Irrigation and Citrus: Timing the Final Clean
Some Arcadia lots are flood irrigated, with water delivered on the neighborhood's SRP schedule. Tell us your irrigation day so the final clean and any floor care don't land on it, and nobody tracks mud across new floors.
Landscaping, pool, hardscape and tree work put dust back on patios, sills and glass. If that work runs past the final clean, plan a touch-up clean for when it finishes.

Questions Before You Book
How Is Remodel and Post-Construction Cleaning Priced in Arcadia?
Each Arcadia project is quoted on its own, after a walkthrough or from photos and video. Square footage, the size of the work zone, how many lived-in rooms the dust reached, the phases you need, the finishes and any window washing or floor care shape the quote. Call or text (623) 400-8372.
Can You Clean While We're Still Living in the House?
Yes. Tell us which rooms are lived in and where the dust traveled. We clean the lived-in rooms first so the house stays usable, then the work zone, and the proposal lists both so nothing is left out.
Do You Clean New Homes Built After an Arcadia Teardown?
Yes. We clean new builds for builders and owners, from a rough clean during construction to the final clean before move-in and a touch-up after the last trades leave.
Which Rooms Get Cleaned in a Remodel?
The rooms in the work zone and every room you list where the dust reached, such as hallways, bedrooms and the kitchen. We confirm the room list with you at the walkthrough or from your photos before the proposal goes out.
Can We Book Just the Final Clean?
Yes. Rough, final and touch-up cleans are booked separately. Many remodel owners book only the final clean, then add a touch-up if trades come back.
When Is Each Phase Billed?
Each phase is billed only after you sign off on its final walkthrough. Walk it with us in person, which we recommend, or we send you a video walkthrough, and you get before-and-after photos with it.
Will You Work Around Our Flood Irrigation Day?
Yes. Tell us your irrigation day when you book, and we schedule the final clean and any floor care on a dry day so nobody tracks mud across new floors.
Is Post-Construction Cleaning the Same As a Deep Clean?
No. A deep clean resets a lived-in home. Post-construction cleaning removes the fine dust, labels and trade residue that building work leaves, and it is scheduled in phases around the trades.
Do You Clean Windows and Floors After a Remodel?
Yes, as add-ons quoted separately. Our window specialists wash interior and exterior windows after the touch-up clean, and floor care (scrubbing, buffing or polishing) comes last.
Are Your Cleaners Background-Checked and Insured?
Yes. Every cleaner is background-checked for felony and theft records and carries their own general liability insurance. Greater Phoenix Cleaning carries its own general liability policy up to $2 million, with a certificate of insurance on request.
What If You’re Not Happy with a Visit?
If we miss anything, let us know within 24 hours of your clean and we’ll send the crew back to fix it at no charge. Call or text (623) 400-8372.
