Moon Valley Homes, 1960 to Today
The Moon Valley Neighborhood Association records that Moon Valley I and II were mapped in 1960, and the neighborhood now holds about 1,600 homes across 29 subdivisions. Homes.com lists a median build year of 1979 and an average single-family home of about 2,039 square feet, so one street can mix an early home, a remodel, a newer custom build and a townhome.
Tell us which kind of home you have, which floors are tile, stone or wood, and which rooms were recently updated. We note the care method for each surface on your checklist so every visit treats it the same way.

Preserve Dust and Monsoon Weeks
Lookout Mountain Preserve and the North Mountain and Shaw Butte preserves sit just south and east of the neighborhood, so fine desert dust reaches sills, fans and patio-door tracks. The National Weather Service dates Arizona’s monsoon season, with its dust storms, from June 15 through September 30, and Maricopa County recommends keeping doors and windows closed during dust storms.
If you book biweekly or monthly, you can add a visit after a heavy storm, or switch to weekly for the summer and back again in October. Tell us which entry floors and sliding-door tracks collect the most dust.

Hard Water On Shower Glass and Fixtures
The City of Phoenix 2025 Water Quality Report lists total hardness of 10 to 17.6 grains per gallon. Hard water leaves spots on shower glass, faucets and sinks. Every recurring visit cleans and dries the shower door, track and glass, which keeps spotting from building into a crust. Heavy mineral buildup that has sat for months is quoted separately.
